Observation details
One bird singing in the canopy of a tree. Not seen well, as it would not move down, the light conditions were bad and I had no binoculars or camera at hand. Overall structure looked fine for a blue-gray tanager, maybe slightly bulkier and thinner tailed, but that is rather subjective. In the end, it flew to another tree. Subsequently, I saw a blue-gray tanager in a lower tree, but I am not sure whether that was the same bird. The song had some similarity with blue-gray tanager, but it was different enough for making a recording with my cell phone, despite all the traffic noise. Any help to identify this song would be appreciated. EDIT 6-OCT-2021: Identified as BGTA by Alfredo Begazo, see https://www.facebook.com/groups/673902465987560/posts/4739869749390791 , with the comment: "es un violinista (Thraupis episcopus).
