Observation details
I flushed a small, dark brown bird three times before getting views through bins. Suspecting Marsh Wren I waited until Ronnie and Mike appeared and we walked it. Ronnie d'Entremont got this excellent flight shot. Compared to the only other confusion species, Carolina Wren, this bird was tiny, appeared uniform dark brown with a rounded tail and prominent supercilium, easily visible in flight. We lost it in the extensive grasslands. Flight was swift and direct, keeping low.
