Note the two white outer tail feathers separating this from Lapland Longspur, which only has one white outer tail feather.
Observation details
As far as I can tell this is a 2nd Count record. Heard the elongated dry rattle as it approached the count platform. Fired off a bunch of photos, one of which clearly shows two white outer tail feathers which is indicative of SMLO (along with the different rattle from LALO).
