Observation details
Lifer!!! Found by Steve Pink and Ann Marie Wood 40 minutes before I arrived. Very confiding gull; flying around, swimming, walking on gravel bars. Noticeably small gull; gray on head and back, white below, white scalloped pattern on back. Dark eye, bill and legs. Ultra-diagnostic gray-white-black triangle wing pattern was eminently visible when the bird was in distinctly tern-like flight. When swimming, showed dark, thin primaries with tiny white tips. Photos to come.
