Media notes
Grey Francolin is not uncommon species for this region. But due to human disturbance and destruction of grass land.....We can see the bird very rarely. The Land for TATA project was totally undisturbed for almost 10 years due to some political facts. No human activity was there for the time. A huge grass land was created naturally. It became a undisturbed and untouched home for various bird species. For birds like Grey Francolin , Barred Button Quail, Yellow-wattled Lapwing, Red-wattled lapwing etc....it became breeding place. But now ( Sept. 2016) that bird habitat is totally destroyed by our State Govt. It's a controversial place and issue for our politics. So, I want no more discussions about the matter.
