NOTES: (Species Sound: Infrequent. Range Status: Migration. Breeding Status: Not territorial, not breeding. Sound Delivery Rate: Low, normal. Gen. Hab: harbour. Cov. Density: None. A group was flying in the harbour near a pipe where fish debris came from. The birds were foraging a fish spill. The influx of this species was unusual, following a severe storm NW in the previous day. In total 24 birds in the harbour. The higher-pitched "ketch-up" calls were made by the skuas. Sometimes gulls can be heard. Habitat: Marine, Brackish Shoreline, Beach.
