Observation details
Wow!!! Juvenile Wandering Tattler continuing at south Alki, reported earlier by Sam Fason and Sam Terry - thanks guys!! Lifer bird for me, so cool! John P. and I raced over from Disco in my car and split up, WATA then respotted by John close to original reported coordinates. Gray shorebird, short yellow legs, medium length straight black bill, bobbing tail up and down. It called when it was scared off by a gull, which I captured (audio commentary of “damn gull” not me in recording :-p). Digiscope videos. Observed with John Puschock, Carl Haynie, and Dave Sanford. We left it while it was foraging at the base of the jetty approximately here: (47.5714489, -122.4130211)
