Considering the amount of rufous on the upperparts and the distribution of ssp vociferus, these birds probably belong to the South American resident ssp peruvianus, but measurements needed.
Observation details
1 pair with calling chicks. The Killdeer started colonizing Ecuador late, probably in the 70s. It is now a fairly common breeder along the coast, less common in the northern inter andean valleys. As far as I know the subspecies peruvianus hasn't been recorded for Colombia.
