NOTES: (Age/Sex: one adult, unknown age, unknown sex; Visual Display: no?; Sound Delivery Rate: Sporadic; General Climate: Cyclic wet-dry; Cover Den: med) #2 Rolloff on Sennheiser ME88 - wind. First part of Sunses(?) Pond Trail near clearing. About eight phrases. ?Warbling Antbird (Greg Budney) Originally identified by the recordist as Hypocnemis cantator. This recording is from a site where the ranges of H. subflava and H. peruviana overlap. The songs of these two species do not differ diagnosably, so Isler et al. identified this recording as "H. subflava or H. peruviana" in their work on the species limits of the H. cantator complex (see Isler et al. 2007). The "How Identified" and "Confidence in Identification" values pertain to the recordist's original identification. -Matt Medler, 16 December 2009. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
