Observation details

standing with 2 laughing gulls when first seen, on spillway from lake; small gull-sized bird with "horizontal" body posture, no ticks or bobs, black head, brown back, white belly, pink-orange legs, long orange bill, just hanging out... not doing anything else ... I didn't have my camera with me at first, but I ran home and back and found it still there 30 min's later (no gulls) - see photos
