Observation details
Unsure what this bird is. Only saw briefly and no more of it than what appears in these images. Appears to be in a heavy molt. Yellow below malar area and on lower flank was only color I saw on this bird. Seemed quite small, but not next to anything to compare it with. A couple adult EAKI nearby appeared much larger than what I got of this bird. Young kingbird possibly? Maybe young OSFL? Not sure why the yellow if either species. I also noted a couple of very heavy prominent wingbars. Seems to have a kingbird "look" to it however. Also, bird initially seen sitting on bare stick very low over the water surface near the shoreline and then it immediately flew to the position where I found a window in the tree to digiscope these photos before it disappeared and could not be relocated.
