Media notes
Concentrate on listening to the scratchy "zchitt, zchitt, zchitt" call in front of the chattering flock of Least and Western Sandpipers in the background. The call shows up as a straight up and down bar that is from 6-10 khz. I am not sure if I have ever tuned into to this call before by a Least Sandpiper. There were at least 2 birds seen doing it and they were stationary the whole time doing it and twitched their tails while calling. This one bird that I recorded was doing this call in the same spot without moving for over a minute before I decided to try and record it.
