Black bill, black legs and black primaries extending past tail. Only faint upper chest streaking.
Observation details
This was a very active bird, moving around continuously, and quickly. Buffy tan on the head and breast with the breast coloration not extending as far down as the darker streaking on a Pectoral, and with a more elongated, thinner build, with a black bill and legs, and crossed black primaries extending past the tail. This was a Juvenile/Immature by the white fringe on the outer wing coverts, and I think also due to the undeveloped white supercillium an adult would show. Glad I came in the early morning and thankful others found it. When I came back from the north @ 1HR later the Baird's wasn't at the flooded area near Edison. Could have moved to the ponds at the south side where the Egrets landed, but couldn't tell due to backlight from morning sun.
