First noted very long wingtips (past tail) giving the bird an overall long appearance while bird was sleeping. Was separate from foraging leasts but when a couple walked past it was obviously larger. Dark legs, dark spots on back with light edging, buffy breast and tones throughout body, light supercilium. Managed one horrendous digi-scoped photo in bad light while bird was preening (with LESA on left) with bird quartered toward me making the wing length somewhat difficult to see. While moving to a better location to photograph bird, a peregrine came through and made a few passes scattering all the shorebirds. Made an effort to find individual again but failed.
