***Early and high. Not a doubt in my mind concerning these. Both birds seen and heard fighting in mid-air; distinctive calls backed by photos of buff, lightly spotted breast. Veery ruled out by call; higher in pitch similar to a peeper; lacking the drooped ending of Veery and none of the harshness of other Catharus.
