Observation details
Lifer; we knew that these birds had been seen recently but didn't know how to look for them. While we were watching a singing Spot-breasted Oriole, we found these parrots, apparently right after they had flown in to a Baobab (!) on the campus. I got several fair photographs from almost directly underneath, and in the fading light. They were obvious parrots, with short, rounded tails. The upperparts were bright green with no noticeable wing patches. The head was dull green with a conspicuous white orbital ring and a grayish crown and forehead. The underparts were green with red undertail coverts. A lifer for us all; I got photos and video.
