Solitaire was stationary during this recording but it audibly increased its singing volume during the second half of the recording.
Observation details
First observation at 0945. 1 counted on property. 1 individual(s) singing. A fairly late-spring sighting for this species here, and it was surprising to hear it singing! Perching about halfway up in burned alders upstream of the turnaround point while singing; in between bouts of singing it flew down to the stream and the regrowing grassland nearby, foraging (perhaps drinking as well?). Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 2 on property.
