Observation details
One individual, a juvenile in 1st winter plumage. He was foraging at the bay from 7 am (first observed) untill 11:20 am, when I finally managed to get some good pictures. Considerably smaller than a Franklin gull. It's flight was energetic, constantly diving for fish all over the bay. It stopped at the beach near the Capitania for a few minutes untill a sea lion scared it. This is a first record for the Galapagos islands and for Ecuador.
