Observation details
Mega rarity to East Africa! About the size of nearby Curlew Sandpipers, similar in shape and size to a Sharp-tailed Sandpiper but having distinctive, dark streaking across the entire breast abruptly ending and contrasting with a white belly. Yellowish legs. Rusty cap, but not a bright as on a Sharp-tailed Sandpiper nor as prominent of superciliary. Yellowish legs of moderate length, bill sightly decurved. Plumage suggests a post-breeding adult, probably a male given its size.
