Observation details

We observed two Dowitchers standing together near mile marker 1 3/4, there were no other Dowitchers with them. We could hear them several times calling a soft three part tu-tu-tu. We never heard these birds make the "keek" calls as in Long-billed Dowitchers. We attempted to get a closer look and the birds flew off towards the west. Michael made a recording of the calls. Distant, cropped photos attached.
