Vocalizations by one fledgling (the first few sounds) and two adults (the others). Part way through the recording my voice is audible after a flurry of adult sounds. Initially I aimed the mic at the fledgling, which was only few meters from me, and also picked up sounds from an adult behind it. The chick flew to my left toward the other adult, so I tracked it, and later tracked it back to its original perch. There were also a couple of vocalizations from rodents, possibly a marmot.
Two families with one chick each: one in the meadow on the east side of South Fork Lake and the other in the first large meadow south of there (and a few hundred feet lower). Photos of four birds and audio recordings of the second family. Both fledglings could fly, had short tails, and a generally "fuzzy" and "plump" appearance. I also saw adults from the first family feeding their fledgling.
