Observation details
Likely immature female based on extensive green in R1. Coming to hummingbird feeder on north side of house. Preferred to perch in a black cherry above the feeder, occasionally in the lower apples. Coming fairly regularly and often visible perched in those trees when not at feeder. Would perch on feeder and drink for up to a minute at a time. Green upperparts, pale underparts with rufous sides. Tail green with large rufous patches at the base and white tips on outer three rectrices. R5 almost as wide as R4, R2 not notched. Single red spot in gorget. Giving "tic" calls frequently, especially before and after visiting feeder.
