Media notes
Recording focused on one begging Rusty Blackbird with another begging juvenile nearby; also some calls from adult and one male song. During this cut, the birds foraged relatively close about 30m away and gradually walked away along the shoreline, then came in somewhat closer again. Adults foraged for insects and regularly came in to feed young.
Observation details
The highlight of my weekend up here. These are the first Rusty Blackbirds I've found in the county. The birds foraged along the northern shoreline of Beaver Pond, which was wet from about an inch of rain from thirty minutes prior.
