Observation details
1st year bird. Very noticeable light colored supercilium, lacking on Coopers and Sharpshinned hawks. Buffy colored chest with dark markings of Goshawk. Uneven tail bands were as the bands on Coopers and Sharpshinned are pretty much straight across. This bird was very large over 20 inches in length and much bulkier than a Coopers. Observed it for about 10 minutes and watched as it tried to hunt a pine squirrel from out of a tree.
