Observation details
After big flush of gulls at Point La Jolla, Paul Lehman mentioned we ought to keep eyes out for frigatebird and then he looked back towards Scripps Pier exclaiming "oh look there is a frigatebird!". This appears to be a juvenile. On the basis of the photographs I think is likely a different individual from one seen on June 25, 2016 in San Diego Bay by Nancy Christensen. The bird at La Jolla looks more worn on wing and tail feathers than the bird photographed by Nancy in San Diego Bay.
