Observation details
Chris located these White-eared Monarchs feeding together in the Snaggy Creek mangroves past the locked vehicle-gate. Note that one bird had no tail feathers? Interesting to note also that Niel Bruce saw one adult White-eared Monarch in the same Snaggy Creek location 3 weeks earlier. Could an assumption be made here the two juveniles that we saw be offspring from a successful breeding in this location? They were not phased by our presence and after curiosity waned, they went on about their feeding business as usual.
