Observation details
My goal is not just to tell you, "House Sparrows are common here," but to prove it to you with my photos over the coming months. Maybe I'll get you to change your range maps! #citizenscience These guys live around my house and regularly place nesting materials in my air conditioner's hole in the wall as well as in the holes in the neighbor's compound wall. Occasionally other species join them -- Northern Grey-headed Sparrow (as today), various estrildid finches including Cutthroat Finches (for a whole season), Village Weavers, once even a Wheatear -- but the House Sparrows are constant.
