Observation details
2nd-cycle, Possible argenteus based on mantle shade, however almost certainly not ID able down to subspecies.
The other is of a 1st cycle argentatus that has spent the winter in St. John's. A very pale individual, but there are no obvious signs of GLGU influence. Some argentatus just naturally look like this.
This may even be the same 2nd cycle bird seen later in march by Bruce Mactavish:
