Media notes
Single bark from individual which had been perched on power pole midway between teal trail car park & bike path crossing. Two others had been working the field and coming closer, and when they approached the road the perched bird lifted up and gave them a bark. One of the other two responded (heard it in the stereo pair, too noisy to include) with a little huff but they turned back and continued on East of the road. After a lap around the West side field (another owl was out there too) the perched & barking bird returned to the same perch from which it appeared to watch the other West bird hunting.
Observation details
At least. We watched 4 N of the old silo car park near where the bike path crosses the road. Another perched S of car park. Dispersed, possibly encountered the same individuals when approaching from Kuhlwein, but possibly even more (Liz). Recon mission to see how we might approach a future recording outing... not advisable due to traffic.
