Observation details
First observed briefly on tube cylinder feeder on Dec 9.Seen again on Dec 28 and Jan 1 feeding this time next to American goldfinch when it became apparent that this was not an American goldfinch. Photos taken. Lesser is slimmer than American, bright yellow with greenish back and nape with head appearing black. Bird has been seen by several area experienced birders.
