Observation details
Just finished entering checklist for black swift sighting and right before leaving I scan a small pond on the other side of the road and there's a beautiful red phalarope swimming around. Striking red-chestnut body with black head, white spot, and yellow thick (compared to other two species) short bill. Bird is in first pond's northern edge on left with Pelican lake on your right.
