Observation details
As I was looking through some pictures from Malheur Lake I found some very weird things. I was trying to get pictures of a Caspian Tern, but they weren't that good. After examining the photos more, I found that some Marbled Godwits had gotten into the pictures. I seem to remember thinking that they were curlews at the time, but seeing them in the photos proved me wrong. There were five of them, they were about the size of dowitchers, and they had lots of pink/red on their slightly upturned bills. From the reports on ebird, it looks like Marbled Godwits are pretty regular on the lake. See photos.
