Observation details
*Very rare. Continuing at this location and up for debate at just how long this bird might have stuck to CPSHS. Perhaps even a returning migrant. Clearly heard calling from campground area upon arrival; long, drawn out whistle - teeewwwww. The bird called actively throughout the observation period making it quite easy to locate. Sayornis species with black tail, gray upperparts and uniform peach-toned underparts. Appeared slightly heavier than Eastern Phoebe but with similar behavior; tail pumping and foraging from low prominent perches. Ph.
