Media notes
Bird perched on Tulip Poplar with bird feeders in backyard. One Tufted Titmouse started to give alarm calls to be joined quickly by four additional TUTI and 2 Carolina Chickadees. Alarm calls also given by Carolina Wren. COHA was present for entire duration of checklist. After initial 10-15 minutes, TUTI and CACH gave fewer alarm calls, instead visiting the feeders farthest away from the COHA. The two AMGO moved occasionally about the outer twigs of the poplar but would not go to feeders. COHA appeared very intent on the movements of TUTI and CACH but never attacked. COHA eventually flew away to perch out of sight near chicken yard.
