Media notes

NOTES: General climate: HUMID; ONE TROGON WAS IN A SMALL TREE ALMOST DIRECTLYOVERHEAD; ANOTHER WAS AT SOME DISTANCE. THE TWO BIRDS FLEW CLOSER ANDCLOSER UNTIL THEY WERE IN THE SAME TREE. (AT THIS POINT THEIR VOICES SEEM EQUALLY LOUD IN THE RECORDING). THERE THEY WERE JOINED BY A THIRDWHICH DID NOT CALL. I COULD NOT SEE THE THIRD WELL ENOUGH TO DETERMINE THE SEX. TREE-COVERED FOOTHILLS BORDERED BY CANE FIELDS. 2 ADULT(S); MALE LNS: Subject changed from Trogon citreolus to T. melanocephalus to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 10 March 2010.
