Observation details
According to Steve McBride on Australian Bird Identification facebook page "Agree with others on Wandering Tattler, lots of grey along the flanks, broad dark lores, supercilium doesn't go past eye & narrows towards bill, nasal groove is about 2/3 bill length, & nostril is relatively long compared to Grey-tailed. It's a bit motley on upperparts, i.e. not the usual even dark grey on upperparts of Wandering because it's a juvenile. PS. The barring effect in the grey along the flanks is also a feature of juveniles at this time of year."
