Loud frog in the foreground. Common "tick-it" call. BNA: This recording combines the "tick-it" call of Rallus limicola and a call by R. elegans that is homologous to the "kek-burr" of R. longirostris. Calls by R. limicola are given at 0:17, 0:215, 0:27, 0:325, 0:44, and 0:49, but those at 0:16, 0:21, 0:225, 0:27 (overlapping call of R. limicola), 0:29, 0:33, 0:35, 0:44, 0:455, and 0:52 are by R. elegans. (CAM - 8 April 2005). Habitat: Freshwater, Swamp.
