Vocalising from the perch.
Observation details
Heard the vocalisations of these hornbills far away. Went up the hill following the direction of their call and recorded vocalisations. After some time they suddenly flew off the foliage of a tree and perched on a bare tree branch, allowing me to observe them well. May be a male and a female. Two days ago, one neighbor told me about the sighting of a giant hornbill in their home yard in an evening. It might be a pied hornbill.
