Observation details
Group of six dark brownish ducks associating with raft of buffleheads and hooded mergansers. Too large to be teals. Showing distinctive white hip patch and black tail, and noticeable white wing patch when flying. Couldn't pick out the green head stripe, but Eurasian wigeon seemed too unlikely to be here. Ducks were flushed from the water by an overhead eagle, but returned to lake and were still there at evening.
