Observation details
photo documentation provided; second-year bird; narrow winged and thin-bodied structure, but also the small bill which is key. In plumage the fact that it is very cold toned, has no strong breast band, very small cap, and shafts that are essentially bright only on the outer two primaries, nearly no white flash on the underwing; juvenile-colored legs/feet (Parasitics tend to blacken up in second year)..plus general grayness of the bird sitting on the water and broad white bands on undertail coverts. Hard to see primary shafts on those pics but what you can certainly suggests Long-tailed, as does the wispy central recs.
