Observation details
1cy individual found by others yesterday still present this morning. Watched for c40 mins feeding actively in hawthorns and brambles (frequently flycatching at times); overall very pallid in appearance, being extensively pale sandy-brown with rufous tail, thus strongly suggestive of isabellinus. Photographed. UPDATE 12 November 2020: on checking this record it transpires it was only accepted as either isabellinus or phoenicuroides by the British Birds Rarities Committee (British Birds 111: 591), so species identification in this checklist changed to this combination from Isabelline Shrike and images uploaded as documentation.
