Observation details
Ironically enough about 10 minutes after chatting with a young lady in the parking lot who was hesitant to walk to the mudflat/sandbar because there likely wasn’t any good birds, a gentlemen named Mike Troyan pointed out there was a Tern that was “different from the others” I Immediately got on it and identified it as it was close and giving great looks and hanging with a group of Forsters for quick size comp. Very small Tern with very dark wings. Dark thumb print behind eye clinched. Eventually flew off due West. Late bird. Life bird. Photo credit: Mike Troyan
