Media notes
Two cuts of a juvenile Elegant Trogon that is calling as it hover-plucks grapes intermittently, landing on branches within 10' of the ground. Each time it calls, it's perched and lifts its tail slowly, dropping it quickly at the end of its call. Background includes: Acorn Woodpecker pecking in tall Az Sycamore above the trogon, brief N. Cardinal calls (?), and a distant Curve-billed Thrasher calling. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
