Observation details
(Rare): “infrequent”: photos! — new county bird for ALL of us, new bird for Caleb! — “Willed into existence” found by Courtney. — “Does this mean you love me forever?” — yes! — such a beautiful bird! — “Well for us, that’s just as good as a ROPI.” — haha. Both, new county birds for N&M. —“Highlight of the day, tied with ROPI.” — “Is that a new western Oregon bird for you?” — “Yes!” for Courtney and Caleb, our first west of cascades. — “our Linn. co bird (this past Wed.) was ours.” —— today’s found sitting in lighter green slightly taller “dry grass” field out east of road, to north of white-roofed old building, and then we got to see it fly too. — “who knew there were hawk irruptions?” — “that’s amazing” — 5 Ferruginous in Linn co. this week! — this here today on Livermore will be 5th accepted ebird record for Polk co. ! “As rare as a Sabine’s gull! for Polk co.” — “This is one of two fall records, the other was Sept. 4th.” — 3:59p it flies into field to south. — “That is a killer bird. It’s not every day you see an irruption happening in another county and you go out in your county and find one. Wild.” —
