Observation details
Photos TBA. Late; short, blunt tipped bill, and more prominent, lingering breastband amount. Remaining juvenile feathers on mantle and scapulars retain some of the pale edge and lack rufous which is likely in WESA. Looks like a late juvenile from the scaled pattern to some of the coverts, perhaps? Feeding alone at a large puddle at the North end of public beach.
