Observation details
Superficially similar to Lesser Yellowlegs, including yellow legs, but fairly uniform pale gray above and clean white below. Long, straight, needle-thin bill. Face white with dusky line through eye. Cap slightly darker gray than back. An extremely late fall date for this species; at the time of sighting, the latest fall occurrence of the species in NY State. At the Van Buren St. pond back in the days before it was "restored".
