Observation details
Female or immature bird. Small gray/brown duck foraging - then at rest - in distance mid-pond, N end – alone and apart from other species. Noticeably smaller than nearby COGO and RNDUs. Back darker than breast or flanks. Black crown with sloping forehead; black bill and dark stripe across cheek. Long tail raised occasionally intermittent to foraging dives.
