Observation details
sandpiper among dunlin, so good size comparison -- definitely smaller -- somewhat larger head and thick neck, but to me the distinguishing characteristic was the longer (then semipalmated sandpiper), more pointed and drooping bill then semi. I am certainly not an expert on shorebirds and I welcome any critique of this rare ID
