Observation details
Found by Stephanie Stragier earlier today. Male with ruddy body, gray bill, and absent breast scaling. Continuing at 34.071693, -117.671760. The dove spent most of its time in the dense tree next to the bird seed, occasionally coming down to the lawn or visiting the nearby sycamores to the west. Appears to be the 15th county record. Certainly must be the furthest west (only 2.25 miles from LA Co) and maybe the only on the coastal slope. Six of the first 8 were from Iron Mountain, which birders lost access to long ago.
