Observation details
A very ratty tail-less oriole, in trees above the turk's-cap hibiscus just downstream from the footbridge. Likely hanging around the hibiscus patch for nectar. It was very elusive and difficult to view/photo. In the field I identified it as an Orchard Oriole, but was troubled by the long, hefty bill. Now I'm concluding that it's a Scott's, based on the cold yellow overall coloration, dusky face, black "beard" and large, long curved bill.
